The “License To Sin” Heresy (Don’t Take Abusing Advantage of the Mercy and Grace of God)

2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him , beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

To my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, we worship a very merciful God, but that is not any reason, whatsoever, to abuse His grace.  You should NEVER uses your salvation as a “license to sin.”  It is true, that once you become saved, you will always be saved, even if you do sin.  However it is a very shameful thing that people are abusing this with their “God will forgive me anyway” attitude.  Yes, if you are saved, God will show you His mercy, but again, do NOT abuse that.

To those that are not saved though, your sins have not been washed away.  Please see how to be saved here.

Now let us go over reasons why you should never abuse God’s mercy.

1. You will still be punished.

Hebrews 12:6                                                                                                                                                                                 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Though you have been saved from hellfire (that is if you are saved by Jesus), you are still subject to chastening if you violate God’s law.  This I can tell you from experience.  God has taken a 2×4 and beat the snot out of me (I am obivously symbolically speaking to all you straw men).  This is the last thing I worry about though.  You should be more afraid of offending The Lord rather than His chastening.

2. Jesus did not die for you to give you a right to sin.

Jesus died for your sins, but not your right to sin, especially since you have no right whatsoever to sin.  Jesus was crucified for you.  While I do not subscribe to the idea that He was beat with cat o nine tails, He did go through some gruesome torments.  He was flogged indeed.  If you know what torment Jesus went through, then why would you want to abuse that?  You should be ashamed of yourself.

3. I can guarantee that you are a lot less likely to abuse the kindness of another human being.

Many people will take caution not to take advantage of other people, but have no problem taking advantage of the mercy and grace of God.  Anyone who does this, is guilty of idolatry.  Did that person that you would rather please over God ever suffer for your sin?  NO!!! I DIDN’T THINK SO EITHER!!!

Even though you will not lose your salvation, you should NEVER abuse the mercy of God.  In the name of The Lord Jesus Christ I write unto you.  Amen.
